General and Booking Terms – B&B Pastorie Jelsum

(including terms for extended stays)

1. Definitions

• B&B Pastorie Jelsum: provider of accommodation in Jelsum

• Guest: a natural person who makes a reservation and/or stays

• Stay: temporary use of an accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, not including rental

• Extended stay: a consecutive stay of 28 nights or more

2. Applicability

These terms apply to all reservations and stays, whether made directly or through third parties (such as Booking.com or MyTourist).

3. Nature of the Stay (very important)

All stays are short-term accommodations.

This explicitly means:

• There is no rental agreement as defined by the Civil Code

• No tenancy protection applies

• The stay is temporary in nature

• Registration at the address is not permitted

Even for extended stays, the agreement remains a bed and breakfast agreement.

4. Reservation and Confirmation

• A reservation becomes final after confirmation

• The main booker must be at least 18 years old

• B&B Pastorie Jelsum reserves the right to refuse a reservation

5. Payment

• Payment is made via invoice, booking platform, or Mollie

• For extended stays, payment can be made in installments

• Payment must always be made in advance or as agreed

6. Deposit (for extended stays)

A deposit may be required for extended stays.

• Deposit: € 500

• Refund within 7 days of departure, provided there is no damage or special circumstances

7. Cancellation

Unless otherwise agreed:

Short stay:

• Free cancellation up to 14 days in advance

• Afterwards: full costs are due

Extended stay:

• Cancellation after commencement: full reserved period is due

• Interim termination does not entitle to refund

Platform bookings follow the platform's terms and conditions.

8. Use of the Accommodation

• Exclusively for recreational and temporary use

• No permanent residence

• No registration at the address

• No subletting or onward letting

Not permitted:

• Frying

• Using open baking sheets

• Preparations that cause strong odors or smoke

9. Number of Persons

Only the stated number of guests is allowed.

Additional persons only with permission.

10. Interim Inspection (extended stays)

For extended stays, B&B Pastorie Jelsum reserves the right, after announcement, to inspect the accommodation for maintenance and control purposes.

11. House Rules

The house rules are an integral part of these terms.

12. Damage and Liability

• The guest is liable for any damage

• Damage must be reported immediately

• Costs will be deducted from the deposit or invoiced separately

B&B Pastorie Jelsum is not liable for loss or theft.

13. Termination of Stay

In case of rule violations or undesirable behavior, the stay can be terminated immediately without refund.

14. Force Majeure

No liability for force majeure (disruptions, weather conditions, etc.)

________________________________________

15. Privacy

Processing of personal data in accordance with the privacy statement.

________________________________________

16. Governing Law

Dutch law applies.

Disputes are settled by the competent court in the Netherlands.
